Dear Parents/ Carers
We would like to celebrate Christmas by learning and singing some Christmas songs.
Our Christmas concert gathering will take on a new format this year. We would like to record some songs and download them on to google classroom so that you can see the effort and wonderful performances of your children.
If you do not want your child to participate and be part of the classroom Christmas concert performance, please let us know by Monday 7th December.
Christmas Jumper day will be held on Friday 11th December so please support us and wear a fun Christmas jumper on this day.
The school Christmas dinner is on Wednesday December 16th. As it takes longer than the normal lunch time, children who do not normally stay for lunch on this day can stay and celebrate with us. Please let the office know if your child does not usually stay and you would like them to.
The nursery Christmas party is on Friday 18th Dec. On that day, all children arrive at 9.30 a.m. and leave at 12.30p.m. Barney Bonkers (Entertainer) will visit at a safe distance. We welcome contributions of party food any day that week – we will make a list of suitable foods and share this with you. The food is to share, rather than just for your child. Father Christmas will sadly not visit this year, however he has promised to drop off some gifts with Mother Christmas and some elves, helping to distribute them.
Fundraising
Usually at this time of year our main fundraiser for Christmas takes place in the form of a “Torch lit Walk”. As we are unable to host this event, we will put a collection box at the front door and will gladly accept any donations.
Children have also been hand painting canvas bags for you to purchase. The cost of these are £4.00.
School starts next term on Wednesday 6th January 2021.
Finally, I am here most days from 8 a.m. onwards, as are several staff. If there is anything which you would like to talk about, don’t hesitate to arrange an appointment.
